What is the difference between BT tool holder and JT tool holder?

2017-03-14 17:34

BT tool holder and JT tool holder are both types of tool holders. The taper of BT and JT tool holders is the same, with a taper of 7:24.

Today, the editor will introduce the difference between BT tool holders and JT  tool holders:

1. Manufacturing standards: The BT  tool holder is the Japanese standard MAS-403, and the JT  tool holder is the German standard DIN69871.

There is also a manufacturing standard JISB6339 for BT tool holders. Although the Japanese standard JISB6339 has replaced the Japanese Association of Work Machinery Industry standard MAS-403, due to its main external dimensions being the same, it has little impact on use. Therefore, many tool manufacturers still label their samples with the MAS-403 standard code instead of JISB6339. However, it should be noted that the rivets used in these two standards are different.

2. The clamping part of the robotic arm is different from the pulling nail. The flange of the BT tool holder is thicker, and the clamping groove of the robotic arm is close to the tool side. The depth of the two end keyways is the same and not milled through; The flange thickness of the JT tool holder is relatively small, with a positioning notch for tool installation. The two end keyways have different depths and are milled through.

Various specifications of pull nails correspond to corresponding specifications of tool handles and corresponding specifications of pull nail clamps. There are two standards for BT type knife handle rivets, namely MAS403 standard and JISB6339 standard. There are two types of MAS403 tension nails: Type I and Type II. The tension angle of Type I tension nails is 30 °, which is used for tension devices without steel balls; The inclined angle of the tensioning surface of type II tension nails is 45 °, used for tensioning devices with steel balls. The head length of these two types of rivets is smaller than that of JISB6339 rivets, and the neck length is longer. JISB6339 has only one type of tension surface with a slope angle of 15 °, which is used for tension devices without steel balls.
