Share the correct usage of boring cutters

  Boring tool is a type of CNC cutting tools, commonly used in situations such as inner hole machining, reaming, and profiling. The rational operation of the boring tool usage method is crucial. Mastering the correct operation method can extend the service life of the boring tools.
  Today, I will introduce the usage of boring cutters:
  Special attention should be paid to cleaning during tool installation. Whether it is rough machining or precision machining, the cleanliness of boring tools must be paid attention to in all stages of installation and assembly. The assembly of the tool handle and machine tool, as well as the replacement of the inserts, must be wiped clean before installation or assembly, and must not be done carelessly.
  The cutting tools must be pre-adjusted to ensure their dimensional accuracy, intact condition, and meet the requirements. Indexable boring cutters, except for single edge boring cutters, generally do not use manual trial cutting methods, so pre-adjustment before processing is very important. The pre-adjusted dimensions must be accurate, set within the lower and middle limits of the tolerance, and take into account temperature factors for correction and compensation. Tool pre-adjustment can be carried out on specialized pre-adjustment instruments, machine tool aligners, or other measuring instruments.
  Perform dynamic runout check after tool installation. Dynamic jumping inspection is a comprehensive indicator that reflects the accuracy of the machine tool spindle, tool accuracy, and the connection accuracy between the tool and the machine tool. If the accuracy exceeds 1/2 or 2/3 of the required accuracy for the hole to be machined, it cannot be processed. The cause needs to be identified and eliminated before proceeding. This point must be remembered by the operator and strictly enforced. Otherwise, the processed holes will not meet the requirements.
  The lifespan of each part of the cutting tool should be determined through statistical or testing methods to ensure the reliability of machining accuracy. For single edged boring cutters, this requirement may be lower, but for multi-edged boring cutters, this is particularly important. The processing characteristics of the adjustable boring cutter are: pre-adjusting the cutter, achieving the requirements in one machining, and ensuring that the cutter is not damaged, otherwise it may cause unnecessary accidents.
